John Addison, MD, FACPJohn Addison, MD, FACP

Board Certified Internal Medicine

Dr. Addison is the Owner and Director of Northwest Geriatrics.

He received his Bachelor’s degree from Harvard University and his Medical Degree from the University of Washington.

A longtime Mercer Island resident, Dr. Addison is Board Certified in Internal Medicine. Dr. Addison has been practicing as an internist and geriatrician since 1982 and is also the Medical Director at several skilled nursing facilities throughout Seattle.

Dr. Addison brings his commitment to building long-term relationships with his patients to each and every facility we provide services to. He is a firm believer in the importance of primary care and to keeping healthcare costs down. He is passionate about providing quality geriatric healthcare to patients where they live in the community.

Dr. Addison is devoted to building a practice in which patients have a more personalized level of care than they might receive at a larger institution.

Dr. Addison has a wife, three grown children, and a puppy named Crosby.

When he is not seeing his patients, he loves to play and coach soccer or to play golf.


Lester Sauvage, Jr., MD, CMDLester Sauvage, Jr., MD, CMD

Board Certified Internal Medicine & Geriatric Medicine

Dr. Sauvage received his B.S. degree from Seattle University, and went on to receive his M.D. from Saint Louis University. He completed his residency training in Internal Medicine from the Medical College of Wisconsin. Dr. Sauvage has worked the majority of his career at Minor & James Medical in Seattle before joining Northwest Geriatrics in 2006.

Dr. Sauvage maintains his title as Medical Director for Providence Mount Saint Vincent skilled nursing facility. He belongs to a number of professional organizations, including the American Geriatrics Society, American Medical Directors Association, and the American College of Physicians.

Dr. Sauvage is a resident of Mercer Island and has a wife and two daughters.


Daniel S. Raskind, MDDaniel Raskind, MD

Internal Medicine & Geriatric Medicine

In joining Northwest Geriatrics Dr. Daniel Raskind sees that he is “coming home” to his first love – treating the elderly where they live in the community.

Before joining Northwest Geriatrics at the beginning of 2015, Dr. Raskind spent 14 years as a staff physician at the Overlake Senior Health Center, in addition to following his patients at several nursing homes in Seattle and Bellevue for over 10 years.

Prior to this work, Dr. Raskind was the staff internist for the U.S. Air Force in South Dakota, and was Chief of Internal Medicine from 1999 to 2001 where a majority of his patients were seniors.

Dr. Raskind received his undergraduate training at Brandeis University in Waltham, Massachusetts before obtaining his Medical Degree from the Chicago Medical School.

When he is not working, Dr. Raskind resides in Bellevue where he spends quality time with his wife and two active sons.


Robin Fontana, ARNPRobin Fontana, ARNP

Adult Nurse Practitioner, Board Certified

Robin Fontana received both her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and her Master in Nursing from the University of Washington, where she also was a member of The National Dean’s List. Robin worked as Resident Care Manager at Regency at Renton Rehab Center before working as a nurse practitioner for Virginia Mason on Mercer Island.

She has been with Northwest Geriatrics since the start of the company. She is a member of The Nursing Honor Society, Sigma Theta Tau International, and one of the Continuing Education Coordinators for the Association of Eastside Nurse Practitioners.

She loves to play soccer and is married with three kids living in Woodinville.


Laura Curtis, ARNP, MSNLaura Curtis, ARNP, MSN

Adult/Geriatric Nurse Practitioner, Board Certified

Laura Curtis is a board certified Adult / Geriatric Nurse Practitioner, having received both her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and her Master of Science in Nursing from Seattle University.

Laura has an accomplished background as a teacher, both in the US and abroad. She is bilingual in Spanish-English and she brings with her a wealth of world experience and a passion for treating patients in the community, where they live.

When she is not caring for her patients, Laura is an active mother of three young children.


Duong M.Duong, MDDr. Duong

Internal Medicine

Dr. Duong M. Duong graduated from Saigon Medical School in 1975 prior to coming to the United States as a refugee. He received his Internal Medicine training at Loyola/ VA Hines University in Chicago from 1979-1983 and is Board Certified in Internal Medicine.

Dr. Duong was a staff at the Beacon Hill Pacific Medical Center for 20 years in the Primary Care department serving mostly retiree from the Department of Defense. He also ran a private practice in the Seattle International District serving a predominantly Asian population.

After practicing medicine for 30 years, he closed his office and joined the Home Doctor organization in January 2015 in order to devote his time to serving the elderly living in adult home care and retirement centers.

His experience with Home Doctor dates back to 10 years ago when his father-in – law, diagnosed with Parkinson and Alzheimer’s, was cared by a doctor from Home Doctor and Dr. Duong was impressed with the excellent care they provided.

After 6 years with Home Doctor, he now joins NW Geriatrics Group with several Internists and Nurse Practitioners, serving the elderly in Nursing Home, Assisted Living and Adult Family Home in Eastside King County.

Dr. Duong is committed to providing the same care that he provided at Home Doctor and now NW Geriatrics, a devoted group of physicians and nurse practitioners and is excited to bring with him the work experience and passion for treating geriatric patients.


Dr. Ha Ta, MD, FACPDr. Ha Ta, MD, FACP

Board Certified Internal Medicine

Dr. Ta is an Internal Medicine physician who has > 24 years of practice and has worked as a hospitalist (2010 – 2021), outpatient primary care (2000 -2009, 2022 – 2023), as assistant professor working with residents and medical students at the University of Kansas-Wichita campus (2001 -2009), at the VA (2000 -2001). She has always had an interest in chronic care management/primary in the geriatric population, educating her patients in their medical illnesses so they are in control of their health problems, providing personalized level of care that keeps healthcare costs down, and building long-term relationships with her patients. She received her Residency training from OU Health Sciences Center, Medical degree from The University of Kansas and Bachelors from Kansas State University. She moved to Seattle in 2012 when her husband job with Boeing required him to relocate to Seattle. She has 2 adult kids and enjoys spending time with her family, gardening, and baking.
